What is MelaCMS?
MelaCMS is a CMS for Laravel. It is built for freelancers and studios who write client websites with coding agents and still need to hand the client a clean admin panel.
It is a Composer package, melasistema/mela-cms. Each website is a normal Laravel app that requires it. One command adds:
- the admin panel,
- the roles and a super-admin account,
- the GitHub workflows that test, release and deploy the site,
- the instructions for the coding agents that work on the site.
Stack: PHP 8.4, Laravel 13, Filament 5, Blade, Tailwind and Alpine. Vue component islands can be added when a page needs one.
Early stage
MelaCMS is at 0.8.1. The release and deploy backbone and the content features are in place and in use on a live site. While the version is below 1.0, a minor version can contain a breaking change; the changelog says when.

Nothing in a site is edited by a core update, except through Composer and an explicit mela:update.
